We are on the move!!

Carl and I are so thankful to say that our little miracle boy is on the move.  He is officially crawling. :) Crazy to think we were told this might never happen.  Brian had a stroke in part of his brain and it doesn't even matter.  Keep up the strong work sweet boy!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Playing outside - videos -

These are mainly for my Dad traveling in London right now.  Some videos of Brian playing outside today.  He was clapping and playing with the leaves and grass.  He puts grass in his mouth but not all the delicious things I make him!  Stinker...

Life Lately

Brian and I have been busy again.  We're best friends.

We went for a walk this afternoon, sweet boy loves the swing and he is getting so big!  He was also being adorable in his baby flannel.  Little Ham is this happy all the time.

Seriously, he's so happy.

We made an impromptu trip to Michigan for a few days this week.  Brian was SO tired after all the playing.  Charlotte and Brian love each other, except for when Brian was snuggling her blankie.  Charlotte did not like it and kept pulling it back! It was so cute.

The Brians spent the morning in the hot tub.  Little boy was having so much fun! He was loving on the pink floaty and multi colored straws.

Brian and I got to stay in my parent's new bunk bed room!  It was our first time in their super cute addition.  Normally Rachel and her family take it, now I know why!  Brian loved playing on the couch like a big boy.  We might need to flip for this place in the future.  :)

I tried to be a really good mom one day and brought Brian and his walker to the tennis courts by our house.  He loved it!... for about 8 minutes.  It was too sunny and he'd get stuck in the cracks.  And then think I was too far away.  Sweet boy pretty much just followed me around like a puppy.

Our Halloween outfits!!  Ariel, Prince Eric and Flounder.  I made my fin and Brian's outfit.  Pretty good for no pattern!  Definitely learned some new tricks for next year.

We went to visit a new friend of ours one afternoon.  I said "Brian, smile!" and he looked up at me like this.  Seriously, so sweet.

And here is our little buddy trying to model a new hat pattern I was trying out.  It looks cute if you can get the baby to leave the hat on!  Brian does NOT appreciate hats.  I say it brings back bad memories from his CPAP days.

Tons of pictures, I know!  We plan on staying in Peoria for the next few weeks then we head back up to Michigan again for Thanksgiving.  Crazy to think the Holidays are coming up so fast.  Brian's 1 year "corrected" birthday will be here before we know it!

Right now we are working on crawling.  He is getting SO close.  He rocks on his hands and knees but would rather walk than crawl.  And this little man has no fear, he is convinced he can walk! It's so funny.  We still do Phyiscal Therapy once a month and our PT says he is doing so well.  Still a bit delayed but we work on it every day.

We are also heading back to feeding therapy.  Brian has been taking his bottles great and gaining weight, but he struggles with eating normal food now.  He hasn't been able to progress pass the pureed type of solids.  Our little buddy gags and throws up with new textures.  We're hoping with a little help we can work through it!

Busy Boy

Brian has started to be so much more active these past few days! He is BUSY.  And I love every minute.  We went to Costco together and little buddy enjoyed all the samples.  He ate some chicken pot pie, pumpkin muffins and a nutrigrain.

It was so nice out, so we went to our neighborhood park in the afternoon.  This little boy is looking so grown up!

Brian is sitting up much better.  Reaching for toys even and not falling over!  It's taken awhile but we are getting there.

Here is Brian trying to walk behind his elephant.  After mastering the walker he thinks he can walk by himself.  It's so funny.  I think this boy is going to skip crawling!

Brian and I met a friend for a walk.  This was the view!  65 degrees and beautiful fall trees.  Perfect.  And this little guy loves the lights at Menards :)
